American Dream breakfast Tuesday

If you asked me to pick one photo, one poem, and one quote of what the American Dream means to me, here are my choices.

I will be joining a few hundred other people to celebrate the American Dream tomorrow, Tuesday, at the fourth annual American Dream breakfast at Lipscomb University. Starting at 7:30 a.m., the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition will present the Johnny Hayes American Dream Award to Mr. Daoud Abudiab, the Welcoming Tennessee Award to Nashville Public Television, and the Face of Courage Award to Mrs. Cristina Condori.
