International Nashville photo contest pulls together beautiful images on Facebook: June 30 is last day to upload pics; prizes are round-trip tickets on Southwest

Saturday, June 30, is the last day to upload your photos of International Nashville to Conexion America's Facebook page.

There are three categories - Person, Place, Object/Thing - and the winner in each category will receive 2 round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines.

What is a photo of "International Nashville?"  Here's how Conexion describes the idea in the contest announcement:
Conexión Américas seeks to discover and feature your international Nashville — from the annual Kurdish picnic, to the Quinceañera fiesta, to the Celebrate Nashville Cultural Event to el Día de los Muertos festivities.  Plus, we want to see the simple and intimate everyday moments of immigrant and international residents at work, worship, play and rest, and present the visual diversity of everything from a favorite food truck to a costume or place of business.
Given the fact that 1 out of 6 Nashvillians is foreign-born, this shouldn't be too hard...  :)

Get the full details of the contest here, and don't forget to upload by June 30!

As for me, I'm going to keep my eye out this weekend and have my camera with me. If I don't shoot any new pics, here are a couple of the photos I'm already thinking about submitting:

Celebration of Cultures, Centennial Park, 2009

Family at Nashville's Legislative Plaza, immigration rally, 2007
