Nashville-based health services organization launches Spanish program in Miami

According to this article in the Miami Herald, Nashville-based H2U, a health and wellness membership-based organization for people over 50, is testing a Spanish-language program in Miami:

"The pilot program, 'Los saludables,' meaning 'the healthy ones,' will offer a wide range of national discounts, informational newsletters and lectures, free flu shots and health screenings for a $15 annual fee."

"Hispanics, with a higher incidence of diabetes, stroke and heart disease than whites, will benefit through the program's mission of awareness, [MaryAnn Hodge, executive director of H2U] said."

"H2U would like to launch three to four more Spanish affiliate programs this year, Hodge said, depending on [the Miami program's] performance."
